Terms of Use
These terms are the end user license agreement between you and Summer Labs LLC for StockFit. They cover the subscription, and they are blunt about what the app's numbers are and are not: a motivational visualization of your own logged training, not medical, fitness or financial advice.
Last updated August 17, 2026
StockFit is published by Summer Labs LLC ("we", "us") and is provided as-is for personal fitness tracking. By using the app you agree to the following:
1. Not a medical device
StockFit is not a medical device. It takes no measurement of you and has no sensor, no connection to any health service, and no information about your body beyond what you type in. Every number it calculates, suggests, projects, or displays is arithmetic performed on the sets you logged, and is provided for educational and motivational purposes only. These values may be inaccurate or unsuitable for you. The app is not a substitute for professional medical, fitness, or coaching advice. Consult a qualified professional before starting any new exercise program.
That applies to all of the following, without exception:
- Estimated 1-rep max (e1RM). Calculated with the Epley formula from the weight and repetitions you enter. It is an arithmetic estimate of a lift you have not performed, not a measurement of a lift you have. For bodyweight exercises the app assumes a fixed default body weight rather than asking for yours, so those values are approximations built on an assumption that is probably wrong for you.
- The Strength Index, per-lift "stocks", muscle-group "ETFs", user-built baskets, price-style charts, percentage moves, 52-week ranges, "IPO"/"new listing" events, index milestones, and the ticker tape.
- Next-session estimates (also shown as "consensus estimate" or "analyst estimate") and their Low / Medium / High confidence labels. These are a straight-line fit through your recent sessions, extended by one session and capped at a fixed percentage of your last result. They are not a prediction of what you can safely lift, a recommendation to attempt any particular weight, or a target set by anyone qualified to set one.
- Post-workout "earnings" verdicts (BEAT / MET / MISSED) and their deltas. These compare what you logged against the app's own projection and mean nothing beyond that comparison.
- The muscle heatmap, per-exercise muscle contribution percentages, "Rested & ready" and other recovery indicators.
- Allocation and sector-rotation analysis, including "overweight" and "underweight" verdicts. These compare your training volume against a fixed, generic reference split chosen by us. That reference is not a prescription, is not tailored to you, your sport, your program, your injury history, or your goals, and being "underweight" in a muscle group is not a finding that you should train it more.
- Coverage and staleness indicators ("no recent report", days since last session).
- Volume and tonnage totals, streaks, weekly summaries, and progress notifications.
- Cardio calorie estimates, derived from a standard MET table and either the optional body weight and biological sex you supply in Profile ▸ Calorie Tracking or, if you supply neither, a fixed default assumption.
- The warm-up calculator and the plate (barbell loading) calculator.
2. Projections and suggestions are not instructions
Some of the numbers above are forward-looking: they describe a session you have not done yet. Nothing in the app knows how you slept, what you have eaten, how recovered you are, whether you are injured, whether your form held up on the last set, or what is safe for you today. A projected value is produced by fitting a line to numbers you typed in, and it will happily project an increase for someone who should be deloading, resting, or seeing a doctor.
Do not treat a projection, estimate, target, verdict, allocation, or recovery indicator as a recommendation to lift a particular weight or to train a particular muscle. Decide what to do with qualified guidance and with attention to how you actually feel, and disregard anything the app shows when the two disagree.
The muscle-recovery and "Rested & ready" indicators specifically are a general, model-based estimate inferred only from the exercises and sets you log. They do not measure your actual physiological recovery and are not a conclusive or medical determination that a muscle is recovered, healed, or safe to train. Recovery varies by individual, sleep, nutrition, age, training history, and many factors the app does not track.
3. Not financial products
The portfolio, per-lift "stocks", muscle-group "ETFs", "Strength Index", "IPOs", "earnings", "analyst estimates", "coverage", "allocation", "sector rotation", and price-style charts are a motivational stock-market-style visualization of your own logged training data. They are not real securities, financial products, investments, commodities, or money, do not represent any tradable or monetary value, cannot be bought, sold, redeemed or transferred, and nothing in the app is financial or investment advice.
4. Safe lifting and exertion
You are responsible for safe lifting and exertion practices. The numbers shown in the app are based on the data you enter. Always warm up properly, use a spotter when appropriate, and stop if you feel pain or unusual discomfort. Cardio calorie estimates are approximate and should not be used to guide medical or weight-management decisions.
The warm-up and plate (barbell loading) calculators are convenience tools. Their suggested warm-up weights and plate arrangements are calculated only from the target weight, bar weight, and available plates you enter, and may not be correct or appropriate for you or your equipment. Always confirm the bar is loaded correctly, evenly, and within the rated capacity of your bar and plates, and use collars and a spotter as appropriate, before lifting. We are not responsible for any injury, equipment damage, or other loss resulting from reliance on these calculators or any other suggestion in the app.
5. Your data
Your data stays on your device. StockFit does not currently offer cloud sync, so deleting the app removes your StockFit data along with it. If you set up a new iPhone by restoring from an iCloud or computer (Finder/iTunes) backup of your previous device, your StockFit data is restored along with it. You are responsible for backing up your iPhone if you wish to preserve your workout history across devices. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for any loss, corruption, or inability to recover your data, however caused — including app deletion, device loss, theft or failure, operating-system or app updates, failed imports or exports, or errors in the app. Exported files (such as CSV history) and shared routines are provided as-is, and you are responsible for storing and safeguarding any data you export or share.
6. Free trial
New installs are offered a one-time 7-day free trial of StockFit+. The trial is granted by the app itself, not through the App Store: it requires no payment method, creates no subscription, charges nothing, converts to nothing, and there is nothing to cancel. When the 7 days are up, StockFit returns to the free tier and your data is untouched — nothing is deleted, and any routines beyond the free-tier limit are locked rather than removed. The trial is offered once per person; a record that it has been used is kept on your device (in the iOS keychain) and is not affected by deleting and reinstalling the app. We may change or withdraw the trial for future installs.
7. StockFit+ subscription
StockFit+ is an auto-renewable subscription offered in two plans:
- Monthly — $4.99 USD per month
- Yearly — $29.99 USD per year (approximately 50% less than paying monthly)
Prices are set per-storefront by Apple and the exact local equivalents shown in the App Store apply. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Each subscription automatically renews at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Subscribing during the free trial described in section 6 starts billing immediately and forfeits the remainder of the trial.
StockFit+ unlocks the full portfolio (all lift stocks and muscle-group baskets), next-session estimates and post-workout earnings verdicts, allocation and rotation analysis, user-built baskets, unlimited routines, per-exercise progress charts, the post-workout muscle heatmap, the lifetime Training Calendar, peer-to-peer routine sharing, the in-workout warm-up and plate-loading calculators, and the custom accent color picker. Unlimited workout history is included for everyone, with or without StockFit+.
Refund requests are handled by Apple per their App Store policy. We do not process refunds directly.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse engineer the app or use it in any way that violates applicable law.
9. Changes to the app and terms
We may update the app and these terms over time. If a change is material, we will surface these terms in the app and ask you to accept them again before they take effect. Continued use of the app after a non-material update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The date and version you last accepted are shown at the bottom of Profile ▸ Legal.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
StockFit is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for any damages arising from use of the app, including any injury, loss, or damage arising from your reliance on any estimate, projection, verdict, target, recovery indicator, or other number the app produces.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of West Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or to the app will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in West Virginia, and you and Summer Labs LLC each consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section stops either of us from bringing a qualifying claim in a small-claims court instead.
12. Contact
These terms are an agreement between you and Summer Labs LLC. Questions about them, about the app, or about your data go to contact@summerlabs.dev, and the current version of these terms and our Privacy Policy is always at summerlabs.dev.
By using StockFit, you acknowledge and accept these terms.
