RiskCalc for iPhone · Free
Size every trade by what you can lose.
Pick how much of your account a trade is allowed to cost. Enter your entry and stop. RiskCalc tells you exactly how many shares or contracts to buy, where 1R, 2R and 3R sit, and keeps score of every trade in R.

What it does
The calculation every trade should start with.
Position size in one tap
Account size, risk as a percent or a dollar amount, entry and stop. RiskCalc returns the share count that loses exactly your budget at the stop, and never rounds up past it.
Longs and shorts
A stop below entry is a long, above is a short. The result says which it read, so a typo never quietly flips your trade.
Options by the contract
Size bought calls and puts from the premium, 100 shares to the contract. Leave the stop blank to risk the whole premium.
R targets and reward-to-risk
1R, 2R and 3R prices with the profit at each, plus the reward-to-risk ratio of your own take-profit level.
A journal that keeps score in R
Save the plan or add a trade by hand, close it all at once or in pieces, and watch win rate, total R and average R per trade build up, with more detail a tap away. Edit any trade, result included.
Fast at the order screen
Hold the − and + buttons to nudge a price a cent at a time. Your account size and risk stay put between launches.

The math, shown
Risk budget ÷ risk per share.
$10,000 account × 1% risk = $100 budget
Entry 1.40 − stop 1.27 = $0.13 per share
$100 ÷ $0.13 = 769.2 → 769 shares
Hit the stop and you lose $99.97, never more than $100.
Real fills are rarely that tidy. Gaps, slippage and fees can make a loss larger than the number on screen, so RiskCalc is a starting point for your order, not a guarantee.
Your numbers stay on your iPhone.
