StockFit accessibility

Built to be used however you use your phone.

StockFit follows the accessibility settings you already chose in iOS. Nothing needs turning on in the app. Here is what works today on iPhone and iPad, and what the Apple Watch app supports.

iPhone and iPad

  • VoiceOver

    Supported

Every button, set row, chart and badge has a spoken label. The Strength Index and each lift read out their values, and scrubbing a chart reads the value under your finger.

  • Voice Control

    Supported

The same labels give every control a name you can say, so you can start a routine, log a set and finish a workout by voice.

  • Larger Text

    Supported

Text follows your text-size setting, including the largest accessibility sizes. Rows that would be cramped at those sizes stack vertically instead. The set table keeps its columns aligned by capping its own text at a size where every column still fits.

  • Dark Interface

    Supported

StockFit opens in Dark, and Profile ▸ Appearance lets you switch to Light or have it follow your system setting. Free for everyone.

  • Differentiate Without Color Alone

    Supported

Gains and losses carry an arrow and a plus or minus sign as well as green or red, and a personal record is marked with a trophy and the letters PR, not only a gold color.

  • Reduced Motion

    Supported

With Reduce Motion on, the ticker tape stops scrolling (you can still swipe it by hand), and chart scrubbing, the first-run walkthrough and swipe-to-dismiss stop animating.

  • Sufficient Contrast

    Supported

Turn on Increase Contrast (Settings ▸ Accessibility ▸ Display & Text Size) and StockFit switches its accent, its green and red, the gold of a personal record and its grey captions to stronger shades that reach at least 4.5 to 1, in Light and Dark, including any accent colour you pick.

  • Captions and Audio Descriptions

    Not applicable

StockFit contains no video or audio content to caption or describe.

Apple Watch

The Watch app is dark by design, as watchOS is. Its controls carry the same kind of spoken labels as the iPhone app, but we have not yet finished testing it end to end with VoiceOver and the largest text sizes, so we do not claim those on the Watch yet.

Something not working for you?

If a screen does not read correctly, a control has no name, or text gets cut off at your size, email contact@summerlabs.dev with the screen and the setting you use. Accessibility problems go to the front of the queue.
