Privacy Policy
RiskCalc is published by Summer Labs LLC. This policy explains what the app stores, where it stores it, and what leaves your device: only your journal, and only to your own iCloud.
Last updated October 12, 2026
RiskCalc is published by Summer Labs LLC ("we", "us"). We do not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information, and we run no servers.
RiskCalc contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking library, bundles no third-party SDKs, and talks to no server of ours. Its only network use is Apple's iCloud, described below, which keeps a backup of your journal in your own iCloud account. Tapping a link in Settings opens this website in your browser.
What we store
Everything RiskCalc stores stays on your iPhone, inside the app's own storage:
- Your account size, the risk setting you chose for each calculator, and the tab you last had open, kept in the app's settings.
- Trades you choose to save to the Journal: ticker, direction, entry, stop, take profit, quantity, planned risk, account size at the time, exit prices, dates and your notes, kept in the app's database on your iPhone and, if you are signed in to iCloud, in your private iCloud (see "iCloud sync").
Prices you type into a calculator are not kept unless you save that trade to the Journal.
What leaves your device
Only your Journal, and only to your own iCloud. We receive no copy of anything you enter, and there is no account, sign-in or identifier that links you to us.
iCloud sync
If you are signed in to iCloud, RiskCalc mirrors your Journal to the private CloudKit database of your own Apple Account, so it is backed up and appears on your other devices. It is stored in Apple's infrastructure under your Apple Account, under Apple's privacy policy, and we cannot read it or receive a copy. Your account size and settings stay on the device they were set on. To keep the Journal on this iPhone only, turn iCloud off for RiskCalc in the iOS Settings app (your name ▸ iCloud). Settings ▸ Your Data in RiskCalc shows whether sync is on.
Apple
Apple may give us aggregate App Store statistics, such as download counts, and, if you have chosen to share them with developers, crash reports and app usage analytics. These reach us through App Store Connect under Apple's privacy policy and contain nothing you entered in the app.
Children
RiskCalc is not directed at children under 13. We knowingly collect no information from anyone, of any age.
Deleting your data
Delete a trade from its screen in the Journal, or swipe left on it in the list. Deleting it on one device removes it from your iCloud copy and your other devices too. Deleting the app removes what it stored on the iPhone; your iCloud copy stays in your iCloud storage until you remove it in iOS Settings (your name ▸ iCloud ▸ Manage Account Storage). Because we never receive your data, there is nothing on our side to delete, but you are welcome to email us and we will confirm that in writing.
Changes to this policy
If RiskCalc ever starts sending data anywhere, for example if a future version shows ads, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the app's App Store privacy label will change with it. The date at the top shows when this policy last changed.
